This week we launched our new whole-school Sustainability and Climate Change initiative with a special focus on Biodiversity. Miss Fairweather introduced the theme in assembly, where the children explored the wonderful biodiversity already present on our school site, including the nesting ducks on the school field and the robins making their home in the Reception shed! The children were excited to discuss how we could use our creative thinking skills to help protect and encourage wildlife in our school grounds. We would love families to join in at home and share photos of any biodiversity pledges you complete so that we can celebrate the positive steps our school community is taking together.
A quick reminder to support our Biodiversity focus
this term by choosing a simple pledge at home:
● Plant flowers for pollinators
● Build a bug hotel
● Put out water for wildlife
● Plant something new
● Explore nature together
