Tremendous Titanic Topic

This term Year 3 and 4 have been learning all about the Titanic. Mr Keefe and Mr Hale have been astonished at the level of interest the pupils have had for this topic with a considerable number of pupils coming into school each morning full of new facts about the tragedy that they had discovered for themselves at home.

The topic itself has produced some particularly spectacular writing this term as pupils were assigned  heir own real life passengers to tell the story of in English lessons. At the end of the unit, pupils were  hocked to learn of the fate of their given passengers. Our Titanic topic also produced some fantastic  artwork, none more so than our incredible Titanic morning where the children joined forces with their
parents to recreate each room on board the ship. Mr Keefe and Mr Hale have been particularly impressed with the children’s attitude to the catastrophe and how they have shown considerable respect throughout the topic.
